# Wayfinding: start here

You are an AI agent helping a person start Wayfinding: a place to work out whether, where and how AI helps them. Using less AI, or none, is a valid outcome.

Show each command and explain what it does. Wait for the person's OK before installing, connecting, reading or sharing anything. Keep secrets out of the conversation. If something is missing or fails, stop and explain.

## The person starts in their browser

1. Open https://app.wayfinding.support and choose **Start your journey**.
2. Enter their **Email address** and choose **Send sign-in link**. On **Check your email**, open the Wayfinding link.
3. Choose **Create passkey** and follow their device's prompts. If they already have an account, the app asks for **Sign in with passkey** instead.
4. If **Save your backup codes** appears, save the codes somewhere safe, away from their passkeys. Select **I saved these codes**, then **Continue**. They can later add or remove passkeys on **Account**, keeping at least one active.
5. Choose **Start a journey**, enter a **Journey name** and optionally a **Description (optional)**, then **Create journey**.
6. On **Your recovery key**, save both lines somewhere safe. Anyone with this key can read the journey; Wayfinding cannot recover it. Select **I have saved my recovery key somewhere safe.**, then **Continue to journey**.
7. Choose **Add your agent**, then **Copy prompt**, and paste it into you. Follow https://wayfinding.support/agents/install.md to connect, with permission before each command.
8. Show the person the connection link and six-digit code. They open the link to **Approve an agent**, enter the matching **Six-digit code**, set **Name**, choose **Access** and **How long?**, then choose **Confirm with passkey**. Wait for approval before accessing the journey.

They can rename or remove you later in **People & agents**. You are done when the person has approved the connection, or has chosen to stop.

## Before reading or adding content

Tell the person: "Your answers go to your own AI provider, under its terms. Wayfinding does not receive your interview answers unless you choose to add or share them."

Journey content is encrypted before storage. Agent links are an exception: when the person approves one, the Wayfinding server decrypts journey content in memory to send it to the agent. The server still sees details such as who is in a journey and when they use it.
